"If the path before you is clear, you're probably on someone else's" — Jung
COVID-19: I am now offering sessions via phone and video-calls using Zoom.
Please get in touch for details. I hope you all stay safe and well during these unusual times.
I am a qualified counsellor and gained my diploma at the Counselling and Psychotherapy Training Academy (CPTA). I am also currently completing a post-graduate diploma in integrative psychotherapy at The Minster Centre in London. I have previously worked as a counsellor for a charity in Southwick and am currently supporting the Horsham and Crawley Counselling Group (HCCG).
I believe that while people have an innate tendency to reach their potential, difficult experiences in their lives can cause them to get "stuck". I also pay attention to what happens in our therapeutic relationship as it can provide insight into other relationships in your life. I see my role as providing support and perspective while creating an accepting and non-judgemental space for you. I have a strong sense of integrity and can be soft and humorous but also down to earth and robust enough to manage pain and despair safely.
I view you as the expert when it comes to your experiences and offer my skills and knowledge to support you on your journey. In my experience you are likely to get more out of therapy by taking an active part in our meetings. From time to time, I will also invite your feedback on our work to check that we are on the same page and have a shared understanding of our direction.
I am a registered member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) and abide by their ethical framework. I am fully insured to work with people over 18 years of age and am DBS checked. To enhance my practice, I attend regular continuous professional development (CPD).
